We said good-bye to Keri’s family on Friday night, then went home to get ready to leave the next morning. Of course, it poured rain all night and the next morning we had to destabilize and hook up in heavy rain. Dad had to walk around the RV and put things away in the cargo bay and the water was just standing in lakes all around. The water was up over his shoes in places and even though we had rain ponchos on, dad was wet to the knees and my arms were wet and we were both freezing. We couldn’t do anything but get in the truck and start driving. We had decided to go to Cascade Peaks RV Resort between Randle and Packwood, up around Mt. Rainier National Park. It rained all during the trip and when we got near Packwood, it was still raining. When we got checked in and found our spot, it had stopped so we were able to unhook and set up the RV without the rain. YEAY!!!
Here are some pictures I took around our spot when we finally saw the sun again.
Lots of moss on everything.
We got there and were only going to stay two nights but I started coming down with a cold so we decided to stay longer and ended up staying a week. We loved it there. Wasn’t much to do there but we drove into Yakima one day so we could call home. We also found a Wal-Mart and did a little shopping.
We also drove up to Mount Rainier on the only clear, sunny day we had to see if the Mountain would hide from us again.
Very green and pretty!
