Downtown Nauvoo begins right behind the Temple and covers a few short blocks but it is a nice downtown area with lots of restaurants and all kinds of shops. We took a few pictures.

This red building is a hotel but the first floor has an art gallery where we spent more money than we should have. At the bottom of the picture on the right side is a small park with wonderful shade trees and benches and lots of lawn. In this park we saw the Nauvoo Pageant Bagpipe Band perform one day as they were walking to various places around the city playing for anyone who wanted to stop and listen
