MONTROSE, IOWA

We drove up to Montrose one day.  It is only about a 15 minute drive north of Keokuk and we wanted to take some pictures of Nauvoo from across the river.  We spent our time in Linger Longer Park right on the riverbank.  Here are some pictures we took there of the temple and also of the flooding.

And, my personal favorite, geezer benches!

We drove back up to Montrose one evening about a week later to take some pictures of Nauvoo at night.  Pictures didn’t turn out as well as we wanted.

This is the best we got.  When Bob tried to zoom in it became nothing but a blur because we didn’t have the tripod.  Oh, well, it was a lovely evening and we enjoyed the time we spent there.  Also watched people get their boats out of the river at the nearby boat ramp.  Also, you may not be able to see it because Maxie is in the way, the boat dock and road in the foreground is no longer flooded.
